I built a 7-figure business that everyone admired but it stole my time, energy, and life. Exhausted and burned out, I walked away and started again, this time keeping it simple, one core offer, messaging that actually connects, and systems that work.

Yep, it is as simple as that, I have been that 7 figure business owner who on the outside looks like she has ALL the success but on the inside is falling apart, is hating her life so much she just wants out!
Something had to change...and boy did it change!
I now live a truly Calibrated Life with an amazing business that supports it!
Helping others to do the same is something words cannot even begin to describe...I LOVE it as I know how much it means to them.
I also know it is important that you know a little more about me so I want to share a few of my highlights (and lowlights) with you!

THE EARLY YEARS
“You will never make anything of yourself”
A teacher actually said that to me, I mean how rude and how wrong too!
Ok, so I was a young mum at 16 & I wasn’t the stereotypical high achiever in school but I would never judge a book by it’s cover as I believe anyone can ‘make something of themselves’.
Maybe if the teacher had asked me what I wanted to get out out of my life, he would never have said it or maybe it was the ammunition I needed to prove him wrong!
THE CAREER
I tried it but it wasn’t for me!
I worked for one of the UK’s largest building societies for 14 years, working my way up the corporate ladder really quickly. When I left I was the Sales Process & Regulatory Change Manager. (corporate companies love fancy titles don’t they!)
They were a great company to work for & I will be forever grateful for the skills & experience I gained there but I just never felt like I fitted in properly, a bit like a square peg in a round hole, it just wasn’t for me.
I felt business in the corporate world was hard, so much red tape & so many people involved in the decision making…I am not judging it. I get why it is like that but I found it so frustrating...I wanted more freedom and flexibility...I wanted to be more me!
THE MONSTER
My first 7 figure business!
In 2006, 2 years before leaving my corporate role, along with my hubby, we launched our online card & gift business.
This was going to be my get out of jail card, my escape from the corporate world, my chance to be CEO of my own business so I could finally choose how I worked and when I worked!
I worked my socks off building the business to 7 figures (we both did!), in fact my life became the business, we talked business from the minute we got up to the minute we went to bed, we even spoke about it in the pub & wherever in the world I went my laptop came with me.
I had grown a monster that had taken over my life and I hated it!
Life become miserable and I hit rock bottom, I will spare you the details for now but thankfully my hubby is the best & he pulled me back from the hole I was in!
I knew something had to change so we set about making major strategic changes to our business, we knew that it may impact the revenue but we knew it had to be done.
It worked…the monster was tamed. Phew!
EMMA HINE STRATEGY
My passion-led business!
In 2021 I officially launched my passion led business, this business!
But first I invested in myself, my mindset had taken quite a hit over the years and I knew I needed to allow myself to heal, I needed to overcome the fear of doing it wrong all over again & I needed to get to know who I was as that had got lost over the years.
This time I knew my business was going to be built with me and my lifestyle choices right at the core. I developed my Simple Business Framework and I did exactly what I teach my clients to do, grow simply!
I absolutely love my job (I don't even see it as a 'job' as I love it so much) and am honoured to get to work with some amazing business owners who I see go from strength to strength!
As a certified strategist with a vast range of experience from my corporate days right through to growing my own 7 figure business from the ground up and supporting my clients to grow their business I know what works (and what doesn't) and I know that long term sustainability comes from solid foundations and a simplestrategy that is built around YOU!
LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK
My personal life!
I'm mum to 3 girls, and Nanny to 3. I know I don't look old enough but remember my early years story...I had my eldest daughter when I was sweet 16!
I'm married to Adrian, we have been together since 1990 but it took him until 2011 to make an honest woman of me…clearly I need to get better at hint dropping!
My passion beyond helping people grow happy, successful businesses is jumping on a plane to somewhere sunny, going to the pub & eating pizza. (preferably all together)
I love a bit of luxury but I cannot stand snobbery! Whether you like wearing muddy wellies & sleeping in a tent or wearing heels & staying in 5 star hotels you are welcome in my world.
Although please do not ask me to go camping with you! That is a hard no!
